I remember when S Helinski got it. He had it above his avatar, but I was completely blanking. Then it popped back into my head...."Oculina robusta possessor" above his avatar. Not sure how it fared.
If you can keep it alive, you'll have a rarity for sure. Excellent hitchhiker.
It was sold to me as Premium Fiji LR. It was purchased locally. I've got a couple more shots of it. Also more of it on other parts of this rock and another that I have.
I don't know how to but maybe I should frag this and get it into a couple more systems in the area as a backup. Sounds like it might not be quite as common as I suspected.
Here are a few more shots of it. The area near the oral discs has recently started to turn green but I don't have a picture of it like that. Also a section of it now looks bleached since I added the new rock.
I'll take a few more shots today when the lights come on.
This was the first LR that I ever purchased and I sure didn't know the difference. I purchased it at SWP locally and I was told that it was Premium Fiji Live Rock. I thought it looked great but certainly couldn't have identified it's origin then or now. You've been doing this a lot longer than I and I trust your judgment.
It certainly was loaded with life. Two baby urchins crawled out of the rock about a month after I had it in my tank. They were only a couple mm in diameter at the time. I attached a shot of one of them now. There was also what I think is a Tunic, several clams or oysters, and a couple of other things that I have to get good photos of because I will need help identifying those as well.
