I've put these up before, but it was tough to get a good pic due to curved glass in my old system. Now that I can take some more representative pics, anyone know what these two are?

I have one that is very similar the the first one. It was traded to me as a valida and I have seen thick branching validas before.

I have been told its coralite structure is similar to valida...but if it is I have never seen one with this coloration before. Its base has a distinct maroon color that I havent seen elsewhere. I bought it as a maricultured colony from bali.

That first one has a bit of A. valida, but a bit more of A. granulosa!. The axiala are a bit too long for A. valida and the current thick branching with outward bowing branches is typical of A. granulosa. The radials are a bit hard ot see, but they do look more cup-like than tubular appressed.

The second is very attractive, but from this angle hard to ID. It may be A. paniculata or even A. jaquelinae. Do you have a top view ?

I'll try to snap some top downs tomorrow when the lights are on. I found a coral on divers den, A. Azurea, that looks structurally just like the first coral, altho, the coloration is slightly different. Could the first be a color morph of A. Azurea?
