Help me decide/New tank size

I agree Bill. Your tank height limits the fancier structures that have floating extensions and the like. However, simple islands like you have discussed will look really nice. I am excited to see how it turns out since I will copy pretty much all of it in a year or two. :)

Yup your right. It was just to inspire you what you can do. I was thinking you could do something like the bottom half of his aquascape.

I'll send you a pm later on the time.

Thanks Brandon, Too bad that's not mine although It Is on my old tank It belongs to It's new owner! Seems like It's an absolute beast those photos are with It wide open and just a trickle of water going thru It due to a red slime treatment In process. Plus It needs about a week to break In, Then Look out I think It will suck the Poop out their little butts hehe I love the Red color too...
Bill

Oh, ok. Gotcha. I thought maybe you had changed your mind on what skimmer you were going to use already. :D

Brandon

No That would be overkill on a 59gal 100 gal total system, The Vertex Is rated for 150gal heavily stocked and 250gal lightly stocked, So IMO Just right for my needs and Vodka Dosing requires a efficient skimmer.
That XP5000 Is rated for 400gal I think Is what I read on the box. Real nice skimmer the best Octo so far I'll bet. Will know for sure In a week or two.
Bill

Why the change from the old skimmer? The old one seemed to pull a ton of gunk and was more than enough?

The old skimmer was fine It Is just going to one of the two people Involved with buying this tank.
This will be the last update on this thread as I will start a proper build thread tomorrow and move all Info to that thread and keep It going from there.
Ordered 50lbs of hand picked Marco Rock today chosen for the low height of my tank! Hope this makes the aquascaping easy and pleasing to the eye:bigeyes:
I also glued all my plumbing that could be pre built In my sump, Overflows, Tank Etc. Pretty much at a stand off until I get my stand and canopy, so I can hook this all up and get cycling:thumbsup:
Bill:dance:

Sweet! I'm looking forward to seeing your aquascaping with the Marco Rocks. I'm considering getting some for both of my tanks before too long. :)

Brandon

Brandon, Andy among some other people already have some of this rock and they all say It's great! He already shipped It, I only ordered at 3:00pm and It will be here on Thursday.
Plus I just scored another PC4 online for 65.00 shipped/ Latest Firmware Who Hoo
Bill

He may have waited too long to get the twenty dollar shipping as Marc said the special was over but gave me that price because the website still said 129.00 shipped. But I'll bet they took It down after I ordered! It was a great deal for 20.00 dollar shipping on rock, Plus he sent me 54lbs.
Bill

Weird, I just added 50 pounds to the cart there and it's showing 132 shipped to 37174 UPS ground? Hrrm.

Congrats on the order - when you get it I'll definitely be checking it out :)

There Is a few In the first page of this thread and I will start a new build thread tomorrow, Thanks for looking!
Bill

Bill, the PC4 was used, I would guess, right? If not, would you let me know were from? I was planning on ordering one this week. Thanks!
