ok well i have alot of tank options and what to do next is completely up in the air. please help me decide!

concider costs, electricity, stocking fees, and space

thanks

some ideas of mine were

2.5 gal
10 gal
20 gal high
20 gal long
30 gal long
40 gal breeder
50 gal breeder
60 gal
120gal

but all ideas are greatly welcomed

A 50 gallon is a good midway point. It does very nicely with a single mh 250, an Urchin skimmer, a small sump, and a single sea swirl. Most all this equipment overpowers too much smaller a tank (you start to need reduced sizes at about 40) and needs to be doubled by the time you work up past 75.

Mine is a corner tank, which has its own benefits and drawbacks.

Be it known, you're still mostly talking about nanofish with a 52, if you want happy, relaxed fish, but you can keep any sort of coral.

Instead of asking us what we think is best, let us know your budget first. This is a expensive hobby and you dont want to skip cheaplly to save a few bucks and stuff go wrong. Just seems like every week you have a different idea for something and ask for help. Let us know what the budget is first would help the most with helping you. Just my 2 cents

"Just seems like every week you have a different idea for something and ask for help"

i know and as annoying it is for you imagine not knowing what your saving for!

thats why im asking your opinion

budget: well itll propbly be about 500 bux but i have the light(250 watt halide)

Get a 40gRR with that 250w, barebottom, overflow to 10g DIY sump, return pump. Look for good deals on RC.Ive been skimmerless since day one and my corals are doing insanly fine:D. I wont start adding the SPS till my skimmer comes in though.

I havent spent more that $500 on my set up;) You can get away with that if you do alot of DIY/Trade.

Sam

you'll still have 320 left for a skimmer and a return pump. Get a eheim 1250 for 60 i believe. A used skimmer for under 200. and you still got 60 left for a sump and your pretty much all there except the rock and live stock.

stand is 36 inches high and the canopy is 12 inches high for metal halides. The white and purple dots are coralline and can be easily cleaned off with water and vinegar.

well hopefully you sell it soon but if not im interested but due to grades mom says i cant have a tank till the end of the first grading session next year so itll probly be around 4-5 months :(
