I need some help fast...looks like i may have a problem with my ballast...

I have a dual 250Watt MH ballast...just went back out into my living room after i did my last post and it is clicking...I see the bulb where it is trying to engage, but not coming on...my single is running fine...I need to fix this fast...Any ideas...can someone loan me one?

I let it cool down and it is now running again...checked the internal fan and it is running...not sure if it was before...any ideas?

I will keep an eye on it to be sure...

Just in case does someone near waterford (east side) have a single or dual extra just in case that I could borrow if the need arises?

No ballast here but this may sound crazy - make sure theres no dust or accidental spider or some stupid bug that wandered into it? I've heard of a similar problem and it turned out to be some critter crawling inside.

But I agree if its a heat issue in the meantime (they shouldn't overheat, maybe call the manufacturer to see what they recommend?) if you have a little room fan have it point at it

You might of had a small power surge when you left the room and didnt know it, that has happened to me many times.

that sounds more like it! probably clicking trying to refire, but the bulb was still too hot!

that happens to me at work often.....we have a stud welding machine that draws so much power that it dimms all the lights in the office when they squeeze the trigger

it's enough to trip my double ballast, but my single stays on most of the time........
