Hello guys.
Please help with this kind of red algae , I have no idea what kind of algae is it.
Its really hard to scrape off from the equipment.

I'll appreciate any input to treat that.

Any form of algae is due to excess nutrients in the tank. If you don't have an algae turf scrubber, then water changes is your best bet.

Doesnt seem to be cyanobacteria..

Pictures are fuzzy but it seems to be an algae..
Turning the blue channel of their lights way down or off and reposting pictures may help with a proper id..

Finding natural predators is usually one of the best directions to take..

Thanks mcgyvr,
I posted pics with filter (no blue) in first post.
I will post another , no blue pic.

As for natural predators, I have no idea what kind of an algae it is to fit a fish , snail etc.

It looks like a cotton candy. I had it and the only thing that got rid off it were Mexican Turbo snails.

Yellow tangs love that stuff so adjust nutrients and hire a tang to do a clean up..

I had good luck with Strombus snails on cotton candy algae. These are small, prolific reproducers that can climb tiny stalks to go after algae bigger snails can't reach. Indo Pacific Sea Farms sells them.

Also, with the snails you have, try putting them directly on the algae. Sometimes they don't seem to find the algae you want them to go after.
