So I have had my tank going for about 4 mths. I want to start stocking corals in it, but I am new to corals.
From the pics I have seen I want to stock it with SPS corals. So the question is, how do you take care of them. Lighting, feeding, water parameters.
Here what my tank is:
75 gal tall hex
30 gallon sump with 25 lbs live sand
40 lbs sand in DT
50 lbs limestone in DT
40 lbs live rock from LFS
EShopps overflow
500 gph return pump
2 1300 gph wavemakers
1 150w heater in DT 1 100w heater in sump
1 175w 12k MH
1 39w Actinic T-5
1 39w 10k T-5
1 zoa frag
1 frag of some other softy
2 black axil chromis
1 Ocellaris
1 Yellow Tang
10 assorted snails
1 Banded Coral Shrimp
Parameters as of now are: Amm -0,Trites - 0, Trates - 30, Cal 540, Phos - 0, Alk - 11, do not have a test for Mag yet
Any help on where I should start
Oh just got my pumps in for a protein skimmer be running in a week

Get a couple books. Corals by Borneman is a great book and gives you aspects from the biginner to the expert. There is always something to learn. Read the books more than once before buying anything....anything that can die especially.
