I am having trouble connecting my RO/DI unit. I just don't get it. Or f I am even doing right. I have an vertex aquaristik ro/di system 100gpd. The pressure gauge reads 60 psi, but the flow is minimum. I have no clue what it is I am doing wrong. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They don't flow more than a trickle. 3/4 of the water goes to waste (use it for your washing machine or garden) and 1/4 comes out as ro/di.

What do you mean by minimal flow? Can you collect a cups worth while timing it? Then you can extrapolate over 24hrs to see how much you can make in one day.

Here's an example: if you make 1 cup in 1 minute, that's 60 cups in one hour. There's 16 cups in 1 gallon, so 3.75 gallons in 1 hour X 24 = 90 gallons in 1 day.

I have the same unit. My water pressure is only at 40 and it makes 7 gallons in about 3 hours and 15 minutes.

You just need to realize that it makes about 100 gallons of ro water in 24 hrs, so if you are using a 25 gallon storage container you're looking at about 6 hours to fill.

lashoskin, was there actually something wrong or did you just no realize how slow making RODI water can take?
