Hentz's 75 SPS Dominated Reef

Unfortunately every single acro cut of my highlighter acro has died. Like everyone has said, its a VERY finicky coral lol. Only few have good luck with them. Everything else is thriving and blooming.

Was the Highlighter an aquacultured piece or wild like the stuff from LiveAquaria?

Some wild pieces tend to be touchy; this is one piece I've found is definitely touchy.
 
Sahin, yes I believe it was a matricultured (I believe the term for "wild") which I wasn't aware of when I purchased it.

I've had maricultured before from LA, 3 mini colonies - two which bit the dust and one Stag which for the past 4 months had an inch of tips remaining on 3 total branches which are now alive and healthy on frags!
 
Heres an updated FTS!

Moved some rock around as well as glued some frags to the rock finally. Had to clean up my frag rack lol.

Keep in mind, the camera angle doesn't help, but some of the corals appear to be to close to eachother. They're not! lol.

 
Full tank shot update!

Cleaned my powerhead and return plumbing. Also cleaned the frag rack, glued more frags to the rock and moved the rack to the back. Also I glued a frag of SPS to my overflow wall for shits and giggles lol.

It sure is, Dave! It grows daily too lol. It's actually kinda plating out right in the middle also, its so weird but cool lol. Color is a little.... Different, but it's healthier than ever lol.

It's missing the LED "pop" throw a strip on that sucker to color it back ;)
 
Got a new Acropora colony today. On the way home, the unexpected happened. My gas light came on.. Cool, gotta get off the freeway and pump gas. Little did I expect, I saw my buddies stolen Mini Cooper (suped up engine, fast as ****.) So, put 911 on surround sound and began a pursuit.... Well the Acro being pretty big, we just put it in a bucket. Bucket of course spilled and had spit left. So the whole time after the pursuit (he got away, went into a neighborhood with kids... ) I was splashing trying to keep it moist. Rushed home and got it safe in my tank, rougly 15ish minutes of mostly air, little water. It seemed ****ed, but is doing a little better.

 
Good news! The acro's pastel blue polyps are SLOWLY coming out. The few barnacles in the colony are doin their thing. Hopefully in a week or some it'll have some nice PE!

Is that a purple or hippo tang? Or am I way off?
