Hentz's 75 SPS Dominated Reef

Really clean looking setup! 😁

Thanks Evan! Just got 7 free frags ranging from 2 Digi, 1 Birdsnest, rest are random Acro/Stags! This tank is really filling up. Come time for school in August, this tank will be on halt until I get out for winter break. It'll give it a nice grow out period!

Looks great! Good luck with the new ones. Did you make that top off res on your own or did you purchase it?

I purchased a used 40 Gallon Cube full setup I'll be using as a QT/Frag tank.

Came with the top-off reservoir so I just took it off that :P

Made my final and last big purchase for my 75 Gallon SPS reef (coral wise). I start school in a few weeks again so I'll have no time for this tank except for the normal maintenance. Time to let this baby grow out. Picked up 20 assorted acros today, could only find room for 10 or so, so I'm selling the rest off to local reefers.

Thanks for the compliments guys!!

Fish List:
2 Ocellaris Black a Clowns (had one for 2 years, the female just past so I replaced it.)
2 Lyretail Anthias
1 Leopard Wrasse
1 Hoeven's Wrasse
1 Yellow Watchman Goby
1 Blue Chromis

I plan on getting the chromis out when I can catch him. I like him, but I'll put him down in my parents 210. I may add 1 more Anthia to make a trio.

Yes my Hollywood Stunner is massive. He started off as a quarter size quite a while back. I've broken him, dropped him, and he just continues to grow layers lol. It's amazing.

looking good! How do you like the reef breeders fixtures? I'm considering one for my 40breeder SPS dom.
that or one of the LedZeal fixtures... mainly because they make theirs with a polished aluminum finish.

Thank you!

I love the reefbreeders! I'll tell you now, I went back to these lol. Though I would love to have done Hydra52 or Radions (had one in the past and sold it)

Though I used to run my 24" over my 40B SPS tank. Reason I didn't mind 24", my aquascape was 24" long so it worked out perfectly.

The Photon's are great though. I'm able to keep Bonsai acros, I've got two which currently have clear growth after being in the tank for 2 weeks. With my T5's and SAME water parameters, they've died on me, both times I bought them. A lot of colors have seemed to "pop" where as 1 of my colonies is a little more brown than it was green with T5's, though from my assumption, it's still acclimating from T5 to LED.

I'd say go for these RB. I've seen multiple tanks now that have SPS encrusting all over.

Great looking tank!!! So this is where you been, the sps forum lol. Didnt see you in the nano reefs and was wondering where you went. Great job on the build!!

Yep! This is where I went! I couldn't do a little tank no more lol. Ever since I jumped in my 75, I don't think I could EVER go smaller!

Thanks man! LED's are sweet, glad I got these. Though I'll definitely be supplementing some T5's :P

Finally able to keep one of my favorite acros! I swear it was my prior T5's.. SAME water params, and I've lost two frags of Bonsai. Now with LED's, I've got a small frag that is growing rather quickly and a nice mini colony that's coloring up well and starting to grow upwards!
