Here we go again... The "nth" tank build!!

Wow what a build! How are ya liking the barebottom? I'm debating going bb on my new build, Tank looks great man subscribed

I like the practicality of BB (easy to clean, no chance of sand grains scratching my tank, as much flow as I want, etc), just not the looks. On another note, I think I have settled on my dosing pump and will go with the Kamoer. I hear it's much quieter than the Bubble Magus doser and is built by a company in China which specializes in medical grade dosing pumps. Here is a link to it: http://www.saltysupply.com/Kamoer-3-Channel-Aquarium-Dosing-Pump-KSP-F03A-p/ksp1111.htm. Funny thing is that I am a calcium reactor type of guy but for some unknown reason, I am going with 2 part with this tank.

:eek2: did you actually post livestock pics? Tank looks awesome. I love the scape! I agree with the others on adding a shallow sand bed. Vacuuming with each water change should only add a few minutes to your regimen.

Hey Lap, I am waiting for captive bred Interruptus angels from Karen B. in Hawaii. I hope she succeeds soon!

My latezonatus clown laid eggs!! Here are a couple crappy pics:

There's a catch though. They will never hatch as both clowns are females!!

The display in my new build will be 100% Cerameco with Siporax in the sump for additional filtration.

Do you have any updates regarding your experience thus far?

I've been using Cerameco Vida rocks and added a Marinepure 8" block and some Seachem Matrix rocks and nitrate just tested 0 as of last night. I feed heavily (3-4x/day) and use TLF Acropower and Reef-Roids on a consistent basis and it seems to me the combination above is working great!

Nice stand, very sleek

+1

It's beautiful , simple, sleek & functional.

I love the overhang of the table top covering the doors and lower part. That's a great feature as when you're slopping around doing maintenance the doors, lower sections and sometimes hinges get wet causing issues as years pass by.

Have you noticed any diatoms on your cerameco rock? I've been having this problem even though I have no nitrates or phosphates. I've heard that these rocks leach silicates which causes the diatoms. If not, its back to the drawing board.
