Heteractis or Majano?

This little guy was stuck to a chili pepper coral I picked up. He was cute so I fed him. Its grown some. Bout 2.5" tall and 3.5" wide with the oral disc bout the size of a quarter.

I've had it about 2 months. It hasn't split. LFS said maybe a ritteri, but the pic was on my phone so he didn't have much to go on. Please tell me this isn't a majano. Would hate to kill it.

I have no idea what it is...But if its not splitting, who the heck cares if it is a majano (which I've never seen a majano those colors) ? Aren't they mostly considered pests because they reproduce so quickly?
 
looks a bit like my gbta. my gbta is quite a unique one and looks quite similar to yours, actually very similar. purple and then fluorescent green tips. not sure though.
 
I've seen some stringy BTA's and I can kinda see that, but the foot seems smaller than a BTA. Donno. I'm a newb. Hopefully I'll get some more replies come daylight. Thought I'd better ask since it hitch hiked in. With my luck it's something terrible.... Eitherway it's doing ok so far, eats, mouth is tight, no color loss and it's grown some. Seems to be happy.

What got this started was a pic I saw in Freshwater and marine aquariums mag (jan 09, pg 100) of a rock COVERED in what looks very much like my guy. I couldn't get much of a sense of size from it but the color and form was quite close. The caption was discribing them as majanos. Quick web search found some pics of majanos that had green (diff green), but not as many tenticles. Thought I'd better get a pos ID.

Sorry. Phone pics are all I can get right now. Reefing has made me far too poor for a nice camera. Well, GBTA is in the lead so far. Keep them coming folks.
 
Dude, if you come to the conclusion its a pest I will gladly pay for shipping to get it here. Its beautiful.
 
It is not a one of the common pest anemone. If in 2-3 months and it have not divided, then it is not a pest anemone.
We really need better picture for ID. There are lots of non clownfish hosting anemone out there in the Pacific, so it could be one of those. I used to have one similar look to this but my clowns would not go into it.
If I have to choose from the list of clownfish hosting anemones, then I would choose BTA but a better picture would be nice. What ever it is, it is beautiful and I would love to have update o this guy.
 
Thanks for the help folks. I really like this little guy and would be hard pressed to get rid of him, even if he was a pest. He's been doing really good since I've had him. I'll try to get some better pics (got a buddy with a camera) and post some updates. Thanks for all the input.

Wicked, the foot is a dull, light green and has stayed somewhat narrow. He posts up on it like a mushroom, but seems to be happy where he is. Doesn't move around at all . When he poos, he buttons up like a tulip, with the foot wrapping around the sides leaving about half the tenticle lenght still exposed out the top.
Feeding weekly with mysis and silverside. Doesn't like squid.
I've got him in a moderate (touch on the strong side) alternating flow, bout 12" from the lights (8x54w t5, half actinic, half 50/50). Same light exposure as a baby pink BTA that is healthy and hasn't moved in months. Anything else I sure be doing to help him thrive?
