Hippo Tang has ich

Yes cu is copper. Unfortunately all the fish will have to be treated, cu I think in this case would be best. That's a lot of fish for ttm. Hypo would still be an option. And of course there's also ick management if you choose.

Well it's a number of things but you basically live with it in your tank you feed your fish well balanced diets use vitamins in the food and garlic to help maintain a strong immune system and try to keep stress out of the tank such as not over crowding the tank removing aggressive fish ect. Then for the occasional out break there are products that you can add that are also reef safe but will not eliminate the ick at best they manage it.

Ive heard you can eliminate ich never get it again. Ive Also heard is impossible to get rid ofbetter to jist manage it. So I'm just wondering what route makes the most sense and actually works

Well it's definitely possible to totally eradicate it. For me living with it is not an option I qt everything that's wet, but some people have tanks that are impossible to catch all the fish without a total tear down and management of ick is there option. Ick is easy to prevent you just have to be committed to qt'ing everything.
