Holy snow!!!!

Getting pounded here in liverpool. Doesn't matter what you do at 11 at night, another foot+ in the AM, same coming home from work.

mechanical failures in the last 3 days:

1) monday - snow blower surging and stalling, ran much better over the weekend for the "dry-run" stupid EPA compliant non adjustable carb, got it running. air leak on bowl
2) Tuesday - Wifes 4WD broke after working great on Monday. pretty sure the front actuator went
3) today - snow blowed two neighbors driveways, then died 3 feet into my own driveway. smoke billowing out the bottom. looks like the drive belt to the augers was slipping, got cooked and stretched.

I can deal with the snow, would prefer things keep running!

Dam I need to move an hour north. In Owego we have barely gotten a dusting. maybe 2inch over the past 2 weeks.

I'm told we got about 7". I pity the person that the weatherman tells that to!!!

Wow! You guys are getting hammered!

In the fingerlakes region we don't get as much. Except, about 4 miles south of me gets 4x as much snow as at my house because of the mountains. I'd say we have about 3"

There are definitely obvious bands thanks to the lake effect. I was driving from Syracuse to Ithaca 3 or 4 times a week for work through two winters a few years ago, heading down 81 and over 13. It was like someone switched some great big switch, there would be clear lines between LOTS of snow and very little...

This picture represents how high the snow banks are on either side of my driveway. I'm 6'1" and I've been throwing this stuff by hand for 3 or 4 days now. I lose count. Oh my aching back!!!!

Those are some pretty amazing pics.... love the dog in the tunnel.

I'm going to rent snow-shoes tomorrow :) been waiting for this weather to try a new sport - snow-shoe running - pretty excited.

2 inches at my house, 15 min away 2.5 feet -this is a weird storm fo sho - cully dont lie your only 6'1" when you wear your 4 inch heels

Damn thats a lot of snow Cully! Just curious is that caused by what everyone calls lake effect?

Yeah man. I am right in the middle of a huge band coming off of lake Ontario. Kicking our butts. But I gotta say, nothing like trudging around in the waist deep stuff with my Lab after dark. Literally my favorite time of year.

God I miss that. We moved to Milwaukee last year. Damn cold - but, no where near the snow. I figure, if you're gonna be cold, might as well have four feet of snow to play in.

Give Tryon Park a try, I love snowshoeing down there and I live right on that street!

No, I mean no snow in Albany / Saratoga area yet......that is ok since we cant really ride the snowmobiles till after hunting season. The groomers won't go out until then so save that snow for me out there for a few weeks so I can take the sled out...:)

When I drove to Syracuse this morning it was sunny the whole way until about 30 min west of Syracuse. It was like hitting a white wall.

My dog's a wuss. She won't get her high-maintenence fanny out in the yard to go to the bathroom. Instead, she pee's on the sidewalk and craps in the driveway... much more ladylike.

No, she doesn't always stick her tounge out when having her picture taken and yes, she does have a beer belly (or two).

Pretty pup :)
My husband actually picks our little princess up and throws her out into the yard - this after she couldn't hold it any more and peed on the rug....... :(
