Holy snow!!!!

When I drove to Syracuse this morning it was sunny the whole way until about 30 min west of Syracuse. It was like hitting a white wall.

Isn't Lake Effect fantastic! And once you hit the wall everything goes down hill from there. Glad you made it safely to where you had to go.

This snow is blowing my mind. I'm from northern Indiana and this is my first winter here. I live in Springville and we have around a foot or so here. South of here has much more. I work in Ellicottville part time and drove out there earlier at about 4:30 pm. Once I hit Ashford on 219 it was really coming down. I was the 2nd car behind a flatbed semi that started fish-tailing down a steep grade and hit the side rail. I think my knuckles are still white.

BTW..... pimp-stacks...awesome.

my phone has been ringing off the hook with customers so i cant complain but i did not like shoveling a path so my dog could get through a three foot snow drift between my fence and garage . other than that its winter get on yer boots, gloves, hats and heavy coat and get er done or get a u haul and fill it with you belongings and move to Texas but i assure you that you will hate it worse in the summer there than the winter here . just s few more months and we all will be happy again !

wow u americans got snowed im in toronto canada its -10 celcius but i can still wear my running shoes outside

Nice pixs. Love the lab.
West Seneca got buried. Wet and heavy close to 3 feet the first storm and anoher 8 or so on top of it.Snow blower broke;fixed it. 4wd Sierra go stuck in the driveway. Luckily some fellas from the northtowns came down with plows looking for work and I snagged one to help clear the driveway and get teh truck out.

I snowblowed about a quarter of our lawn last night into a big pile. The kids now have a 10' high mountain of snow bigger than our car to play on. Tonight we're going to hollow it out into a snow hut. I'm already in love with this snowblower and now I think they are as well. :D This weekend I think I'll make another mountain and carve a luge run into it.

Mine don't want to come in, ever.

Loving the snow! Great pics everyone. The good 'ol city of Syracuse still hasn't figured out how to plow. :rolleye1:lol. Can't wait until I can get a house and a dog and go play in the snow......

Give Tryon Park a try, I love snowshoeing down there and I live right on that street!

Thanks for the tip! I went to Wetlands today (parking lot right next to McGregor's on Empire). I'm afraid it was a little bit too technical for me - fell a few times, but still had a blast! I'll have to try Tryon - is it a little less hilly and branchy do you think?

Mine don't want to come in, ever.

Gorgeous :)

I think our total snow fall this year 26". We probaly have 10-12" on the ground. Your pictures really make me miss Syracuse/ Liverpool. I really love the snow I have been in Rochester 24 years and we just do not get that much here.
Having said that...glad I did not have to shovel that. The snow we got here was the "light" stuff. Not the March "cardiac" snow.

we got around 8" here in Niagara county..most of the time we luck out being right in between the north and south bands of lake snow..

Well I'm preparing for a fall off the roof today.I gota get up there and shovel the snow off I cant stand to hear about it anymore.

I could have swore I saw this on jackazz, yeah,it ought to be entertaining.

its no fun as i did my roof Saturday and i thought i was sweating quite a bit , ha ha when i got off the roof and inside i was literally soaked . man that was sukd

Here we go again...

Shoveled last night at 9. Awoke to an easy 10-12 more inches this am. Officially Syracuse has over 170 inches, but my outlying area is over 200. I've shoveled every flake by hand. I picked the wrong year to not have a snowblower. Can't even find one to buy.

My achin back!

Amazing how it varies year to year. I picked up a nice ariens left over end of march at an ariens dealer $500 off. This year you can't find one.

Feel bad for you shoveling! I had to shovel once when I threw a belt this year and it's hard work!

That's what I'm looking for, a 30 inch ariens. No way I'm paying full price though. I made it this far. Mother Nature and I are going toe to toe. At this point I'm like " That all you got??? BRING IT!!!"

I'm a self hating glutton for punishment.
