Awesome awesome tank!!! Where do you purchase most of your livestock? As I live in Citrus Heights. Why do you go skimmer less and what is the advantage of that?

I get my livestock from fellow reefers and folks that got out of the hobby, I have accumulated all this the past 10 yrs this tank has been running. Your Reef in Roseville is a good LFS, has some very good frags. No real advantage going Skimmerless, I just tried a new system, and its working very well so far. I ran a skimmer for many years and it worked very well, even though I had a collection bin for the waste, I hated cleaning the skimmer. which was about once a week along with water changes every 3-4 weeks. Now I do water changes every 3-4 weeks and clean my fluval once a month, about 1-1.5 hours tops of maintenance. either way you go, skimmerless, skimmer, refugium, sump.. The key being consistent with your maintenance and keep a log.

Im Felix from Germany and just set up my new 468 l (124 gallon) with 128 L sump (34 gallon) tank. It´s my return to reefkeeping after my first tank in 2007-2010.

So I made a timelapse from the very start and will continue to add some frames, everytime something happens in the tank.

Awesome tank!!!!! I noticed you said custom 90 acrylic in the Youtube description. Were you referring to the LEDS or the tank itself being custom? What LED's (custom or not custom) are you using?

Thanks its a custom tank, external overflow, eurobraced, thats about it.. not that special really, the leds are DIY so i guess you can call that custom too.. but they arent anything special either, just 90 LEDS 60:30 RB:CW spread across 4 4ft rails, theres also 2x 4ft T5 bulbs(blue plus and purple plus) that run for a few hours mid day.
