Hot Stores?

Well, for cheap good thai, Thai Dishes on Wilshire near 19th, and don't forget Typhoon at the Santa Monica Airport

chuck, the good thing about being allergic to crab is that it no longer presents itself as a nother source of cholesterol intake. lol.

typhoon is good if you wanna eat bugs. i think they serve up grubs, deep fried crickets, etc.

So when you go to dintaifun you can't eat the pork and crab dumplings? That's a tragedy dude.....

nope, none of that, unless i take a heavy dose of benadryl beforehand. but i can eat the pork and shrimp dumplings.

thx 4 all the help. it really helps. my partner now wants a japanese/thai feel so i'll be doing the sushi tour tonite.

Sasabune. Kiriko. Hamasaku. The Hump. The place that replaced Sushi Ginza on Rodeo.

For ambience Sushi Roku, but I don't like the sushi as much.

or if you wanna go balla style go to urasawa in beverly hills. typical dinner runs between $250-350pp. its more of a dining experience than a meal.

thx again. I ditched my company & am at mako. fantastic menu, surprisingly inexpensive. I think I found my new inspiration. :-)

and off to find some micros tomorrow.

chuck, let anthony order for you. he is fantastic. mako came out to say hi, I always love that.

funny story tho, we went to chan dara on pico & when I walked out staring at me was a nice looking lfs. I saw the name & it sounded familiar but I didn't put the two together. after I left I realized it was the place jesse @ elos has been talking about. they r still building out their reefs but they had super nice corals, a sfiligoi up over an awesome tank. I picked up a few nice pieces. I can't remember the name now. meridian maybe. nice upscale store, they even had a $10k jellyfish tank!

Just finished acclimating all my CA buys!

LOL Wilafur, me too! I think mine should be in the week after next. I'm very excited about it.

The store was called Medusa, not Meridian. Cool store, the jellyfish tank is one of a kind. Just watch out for the chameleon in the tree at the front door, ask them to do the cricket trick.

True chameleons are very cool but like any animal you have to know what you are getting into before you make the leap. IMO some of them should be left in the wild. I am sure Tucker has thought about this and he either doesn't have them for sale or only sells "well started", hardy animals. From what Tucker (Owner of Medusa LA) tells me, the store is very cool and it will only get better. He will shortly be carrying a line of products that can only help. Hint, Hint:lol: Tucker is a very cool guy and it is nice to find a shop owner who appreciates aquariums and reptiles as much as I do. I'll leave you with this little pic of one of my personal favorites, a t+ albino BCC. He is in shed in this picture but still beautiful. We will have a trade in program at Medusa. Anybody who brings in one of these can trade us for any elos system with free home delivery and a dinner at any of the above mentioned restaurants. Enjoy, I have thai take out on the way. Jesse

jesse, so now i shall begin my hunt for one of those t+ albino bcc's. but since i am deathly afraid of snakes, i might shoot it before i bring it into the store. ;)
