How bad is 50 gallons of treated tap water in a 150g total system?

My new sump is comming in tomorrow and Im going to start filling my 110 with water. Total system is arround 150g or so. My rodi is 100gpd prob a little less. I REALLY want to get my rock transfered from a friend's tank back into my 110 monday. How terrable would it be to finish filling the last 50g or so with treated tap water. Im sure I know the answer, but thought I would ask. :fish2:

If you have 100 gallons RODI available, isn't it likely to be enough to cover the rock in your display tank? If that is the case, you could finish filling as the RODI water comes available; use powerheads for circulation and fill the sump last. Otherwise be patient and wait; you really want to get your tank off to a good start.

I agree with mstwell as well. Although it depends on the amount of rocks that you will be placing in your tank, 100 gallon should be enough to fill the tank and sump adequately. As mstwell said, I'd get the display running independently with powerheads first. If you don't have enough water left over to get the sump started right away, you can either wait till your RODI unit to produce more or you can get Culligan water or distilled water from Wal-Mart.
