How cold is too cold?

Just curious. Planning a SPS dominant 80g and I'm thinking I may try some of the more difficult anthias down the line, particularly ventralis. Through musing research I've heard the secret was cooler temps (and many feedings per day),but this is gonna require a lot more of course before I take the plunge on these guys. Whats the coolest you can safely run an sps tank? I'm planning about 74 degrees Fahrenheit, but if I can go a few degrees cooler that'd be sha-weeeet. =)

I have seen some nice tanks that cold where people keep some interruptus angelfish, catalina gobies, etc. Growth will probably be slower, and you might find the stray acro that might not make it, but I think that most species will be fine.

Off topic, but I love my anthias and I always get them on NLS pellets while in QT. If you can do this, then you have have the ehiem auto feeder feed them 4 times a day and then you can supplement a few more on your own.

I've experimented with the low 70's for a few months and lost color with SPS, they grew and survived, but it wasn't ideal. Without making any changes other than temp, all sps that has lost color regained it after the temps were raised.
