How did you guys get your clownfish and anemone to pair?

I think My clowns are broken. Tried the anemone and clown isolation, feeding only the anemone so the clowns can touch it. I even set up a loop of a YouTube video of clownfish hosting on my laptop and let then have a movie night in front of my tank.

Nothing seems to work.

I know some folks that have had success by putting the clowns and anemone in a plastic colander and floating that in the tank awhile. I think there is still some luck involved...

I got my first pair to host by sticking a color picture of clowns in a nem to the side of the tank right next to the nem. It worked.

Other clowns just figured it out on their own.

Honestly, everyone may disagree with me, but its up to the anemone (if correct sp. for the clowns you have) & not so much the fish. Making sure the anemone has fully acclimated, is fed and is located in its happy spot. Feeding fish near the anemone helps encourage them to hang around the area

They have been together for 4 months. I've actually tried something similar to the slide instead I just used a bigger picture pipe . No luck

the bta isn't a natural host to ocellaris. it is going to take time unfortunately and there isn't any guarantee that that will work. your best bet is probably the "tube" idea as previously mentioned. IMHO

The fish are still somewhat new to the tank since I had to QT them. But I've noticed them looking at the BTA and my Torch but that's about it. My clowns are tank raised so I guess that played a factor. I think I'm gonna try the slide idea again. Was recommended a BTA as my first anemone. Clownfish came much later I always that they would host since they have tried to have the powerhead host them lol.

Breeder net with everyone and both hosted
