How do BRAIN CORALS reproduce?

I am just curious because either i have a hitchhiker or a new coral is starting to reproduce on the under side of the coral's shell. By the way the Brain is a Trachyphillia geofferi (spelling is prob. wrong). It appears to look like a feather duster but it def. is not. The face of this THING seems to be more webbed than separated? Regardless of if this is a hitchhiker or not it would still be good to understand the re-production of this Brain. However it would be a good thing if it would re-produce because 2 brains are better than 1. I couldn't resist. Thanks - Dave

I just read an article where Steven Pro and Anthony Calfo (I think it was them) documented a Trach brain like yours reproducing small babies on an old skeleton. It's not the same situation as yours though, so I don't know. Maybe if you had a picture it would be easier for people to see what you're seeing and they might have some input.
If your brain is budding, you should document what you're doing, and how things progress, that could be helpful for other aquarists too. I would love to see a day when the hobbyists sustain this hobby, not the oceans.

Good luck! I hope it is a baby! :)
