Hello everyone I am getting ready to put my 120 gallon tank up. My setup will consist of a 120 gallon display tank in the finished part of the basement. The sump will be 75 gallons and a frag tank maybe 30 gallons and that will stay in the unfinished part of the basement with the filter equipment. How will I control the humididty in the basement? I have my 55 gallon display in the basement now and it is very damp. I am worried about mold and such. I have thought about a dehumidifier but was wondering if it will do the job because I have a finished wall seperating the 2 areas that will have water in them. Has anyone dealt with this before is there anything elese i could do? thanks again in advance.

You can try a bathroom exhaust fan, during the summer blow outside and winter into the finished side. I've been using a 50-pint dehumidifier and keeps up nicely, just heats the room up more than I'd like.

couple bathroom fans will, or an HRV (heat recovery and ventilation unit) would be the best..removes humid air in the house and uses it's temperature to heat or cool the fresh incoming air (from outside the house)
