i was wondering how i feed my anemone and whet do i feed him? its a green carpet anemone and he is very big.

thanks for the help.

For me, I take some frozen krill ( or silversides ) and thaw them out in a cup of water. Then I take a couple of pieces out and put them on the oral disc of each anemone. Within seconds they have pulled it in-towards their mouth, and it is soon consumed.

I have my powerheads tied to my Standby mode on my ReefKeeper 2. I hit standby and then proceed to use a turkey baster and slowly expel Mysis,Krill etc near and around its tentacles so that tehy get stuck to him. then he pulls them in eats and then opens back up real bright and happy like. some people feed them once every 2 days etc.. I have a habit of feeding mine every time i feed my fish. For my RBTA it made him split a few times. Once a nem starts splitting it will KEEP splitting as long as its health is good and it gets food. I sold all but the parent nem because i got tired of feeding like 4 nems and moving coral when they walked about.

i took some shrimp and broke amall chunks of it and put them on the anemone and they definatly stick to him but before he haqs a chance to get them down the clownfish are so protective over him that they remoe the shrimp form him and discard them...... i dont know what to do.

It should be eating the food before the clowns can steal it. Until it is fully healthy enough to do that, you are going to have to chase the clowns away while it is eating.

thats what i figured i would do but they are so protective over it .... they almost dont care when i move the net next to them....... the anemone doesnt evean make a move to put the food into its "hole" haha
