How does this Brain look health wise?

I got this guy about a week ago, and he hasnt really opened up. Almost showing some skeleton. This is my first open brain so not terribly familiar with them as far as care goes, how should I proceed with this guy? Less Light? Try to feed at night (doesnt really open up to be fed). Does he look normal or am I right thinking something is off? Dont want to lose it..

Definitely something off, it should be more inflated than that. Not sure what you should do about it since I don't know anything about what your parameters are or what your lights are (and even knowing lights, I probably still wouldn't know LOL).

Lights are 6x24w ATI Sunpower. I measured everything last night, here they are:

Ca: 430
Alk: 9.5
Mg: 1250
PO4: .01
NO3: .2
Temp:77

Ammonia and Nitrites undetectable. I think it may be getting too much light, even though its on my sand bed, ATI T5s are darn strong. They have already bleached some other corals on my sand

Have you got a more shaded area you can move it to for a while & see if it starts plumping up?

What kind of flow? Keep it in low flow for now.

You may have a nipper. I have a brain that looks like that when a Foxface nips at it. Try to isolate the coral with a clear plastic container for a day or two and see if it inflats.

hey i have a open brain coral that did the same thing. what i did was moves him to lower light. that didn't really work but it helped a little. it turns out that he had too much flow. also could u tell me how u uploaded a picture like that. thanks.

Try direct feeding it.

I moved it into a lower flow lower light area to see if that helps. I tried to feed him once but he doesnt put out tentacles at night so the food just floats away.

For the picture, I use photobucket to host picture and then use the [.img] tags to insert into thread

It looks a bit bleached in the center. I'd move it to a shaded spot with lower flow.

When you feed it suspend all flow in the tank. Soak some pellets in tank water so they sink and use a syringe to deposit the food directly on the mouth. Keep all fish/inverts away from it and you should see a feeding response. It should swell up and engulf the food.
