How easy are Condylactis anemones?

I remember in my first reef tank I had a condylactis anemone and it did well under 175W metal halide, I even had a Maroon clown host in it very cool.

1. Are they still available I don't see them in the stores anymore?

2. Are they easier or harder then bubble tip anemones?

3. How big do they get and do they split?

Condy's are cheap and pretty easy, but not one of best nems for a host.
They tend to have a stronger sting.

1. Yes, they are still available and usually very cheap.
2. Easier then BTA. They walk more and their sting is stronger too.
3. Mine never got bigger then 6" but I have seen them over 12" across. Yes, they do asexually propagate by longitudinal division.

Thanks for the answer guys, I guess they must not be that popular since i generally don't see them in the stores here in San Diego.

Iv had three of them and Iv always had good luck with them.Once a clownfish gets adapted to the very strong sting that they have they will start to host. Some people disagree because they'v had one bad experionce with them. Some have had more than one but I think if you have a good clown and a lot of smarts you can keep one for quite some time with out it moving and with out it eating your fish.
