so ive been having alot of anxiety about my tank, and despite looking for the past 3 weeks, i have yet to see anything. my next water change, ill frag off a piece of my acros that i think may be infected and dip to see what comes out.

my question is, can they destroy an entire frag (maybe an inch) in a day or two? or do they move slower than that?

My experience is to find little bite marks in an area. If you havent noticed them it can creep up on you and get big fast.I guess it depends on how bad you have them. The coral stresses out and you can loose color. Most of the time they start at the base and work up. They also start in the shaded area's that are hard to see. What i do is either take the whole rock out and treat it(inspect for eggs too) or frag it at the base and treat it. What ever container you use to dip them in make it white its makes it easyer to spot any pests. But hey something else could cause this as well. LIghting ,water parameters, flow

absolutely .. especially the bigger ones. try a quick freshwater dip on a dead/dieing piece and watch what jumps off!
