How long before your clowns hosted in a bubble tip anemone

Just curious how long your clownfish took to host in a bubble-tip anemone. I've got a real nice true perc / black occ pair that are showing ZERO interest in my RBTA. The anemone is healthy and really doing well, and they swim near it all the time, but nothing yet.

For some it takes years, some days, sometimes never. Just curious, how long your clowns took.

My True Percula pair is just now occasionally looking at my 3 BTA's. Might soon be 4 one looks like it's going to split.

This has been going on for 5 or 6 months them not hardly looking at them. Some never do as Perculas and Occy's aren't natural hosts of the BTA.

So my fingers are still crossed. I wanted to keep a peaceful tank so I got the Perculas. I may get to the point where I trade them in on a Maroon pair and I happen to know where I can get a pair tonight if I wanted to. But I like this pair and the are about as perfectly matched as you can find.

my 2 clowns never host any RBTA i have until I put in a carpet anemone. They love the haddoni carpet so much, they folllow the stupid carpet when that carpet walks into the over flow. they all stuck in there, took me 30 mins to pull them out. Since then the clowns will host whatever they can host - frogspawn, hammer, xenia, zoa :)

I'm in the process of feeding up my nems they are still a bit small for my clown pair. But once they are big enough I've got a buddy that has a clear tube I'm going to try.

My percs never went near my BTA. My maroons within minutes. If it's not a natural pair they may never host.

I was wanting a peaceful tank with the Perculas. If they don't get busy with my nems I'm going to trade them in on a pair of maroons. I think the maroons are much more appealing in their body shape and colors.

I have two fancy snow flake clowns tank breed the larger of the two about 1 1/4 inches was in bta in two days the smaller one never goes in it.

5 minutes... They just naturally went to scout it out .The clowns we're residents before the anemone and not the other way around... Don't know if this matters!?
They liked it so much that the first bubble tip was too small for them and they stressed it out and killed it . I had to get a second one about 3x the size.

I have a HUGE female and regular size male for 12 years. It usually takes a couple of days, but the female has hosted all my nems to death. I got a 10inch magnifca, it's the only one that has held up.

Thanks for the responses. Maybe the nem needs to get grow a little more. My last tank it took them a few weeks.

my oscallaris went for the BTAs straight away, they hang about in the them sometimes.

I am pretty sure they bonded though, feeding time for the BTAs can be fun, as the female clown can be very aggressive, nipping at you to get you away from them.
mind you, they also play around in the gonis and torches as well

Took an hour after putting the tomato in the tank. She was already hosting in another bta when I bought her, so maybe I cheated.

keep the faith, it took me so long to have happen that even now, years later, I still very much enjoy and appreciate it, daily. its totally cool. as u are aware "types" of clowns and "wild vs captive bred" and type of nem etc etc etc does play a role.......i have 2 sets of mochas in their separate RBTAs
