How long do mushrooms to grow and split

I was just wondering if there's an estimate as to how long it takes for my little polyp to start spreadin out. It has a little polyp under the main one I bought that is starting to get bigger, but I was just wondering if they usually grow quicker than that or am I just too anxious. I've had it about 3 months now

Could take a couple months depending on your lighting and water quality. With my mushies there is usually a chunk of whitish snot-looking stuff that develops then becomes more and more colorful until it turns into a mushroom.

Do you have them in high light? My mushies do better on the sand bed and out of the high light.

There's some white looking porus material above the shroom where I used to have it sitting, and some on the rock its growing on behind it, it's pretty close to the top of the tank and almost in the middle where my halide shines down, but it looks lovely, it expands quite big and shadows out the little one growing underneath it, but it still stretches out for the light. There's a patch of zoa's a little bit away from it, but I just recently put it there, I had to rearrange everything since I bought a big piece of acro. I just love the color of it, it's nothing spectacular like I've seen on here, but I still love them. I'd like to get more of a selection, but I just can't find a variety around here. I'll take a pic and post it in the morning when its open

originally, there were some zoas on there the same color as the ones in the pic, but the mushroom overshadowed them and they died off and left that spongey looking material behind, but I wasn't sure if some of the shroom was budding off anywhere else, the one thats growing is underneath on the left side and I can't get a shot of it

Usually my shrooms leaves trails of babies as they travel a long a rock.

so do they detach themselves and move? That one in the pic is falling off it seems like, but there's another one growing from where the base of it was at

They can detach, I have had several do that but mostly they creep slowly over the rock towards the light leaving peices of there foot which will then turn into a shroom. If your large mushroom falls off that small will have plenty of light to really start growing. The detached one will eventually reattach some where else. There are also method to attach your free floating one where you want it to.
