Currently I have it on for only 6 hrs a day due to the hot summer. My colors are okay, but could be better. Would increasing the duration improve color and growth? Thanks -Mike

fyi phyto won't feed your corals, it's too small, although it does feed other stuff that might feed your corals.
But if you have a small photoperiod due to the heat I'd stick with that, since its easier to get something back that lost a little color than it is to deal with high temperatures. Also you might try a reverse photoperiod (ie lights on at night when its cooler) although I wouldn't recommend this to anyone if its not really dark in the room with the tank during the day.
