How many clams

do you have currently? Just wondering to see who has the most thus far. I eventually wanna try for 10 clams if I have the room but for now, my 4 are keeping me happy. :D
 
I think I had 51 or 52 at one point, but I've been clearing them out to make some room. I think eventually I will settle with about 10 or 11 of my favorite clams and let them chill and grow.
 
WOW 52. I'd never leave the house for work if I had that many clams to look at. :eek:

If you wanna get rid of a few clams in the future, PM me. I'd be interested in buying.
 
I currently have 7 because I am having extreme difficulty finding croceas and maximas for sale. 6 of my clams are squamosas and I can't bring myself to buy another one. I'm aiming for about 11 or 12 if I can get my hands on some croceas or maximas.

I have NO clams at the moment. Zero. Zilch. What place am I? :lol:

Seriously, I plan to keep about 5 when my new tank is setup. I am just looking/researching right now.

OK as of almost 2 hours ago............... that statement is no longer valid. I now have 2 amazing clams..................... It was almost 3 but no matter how much I begged my boyfriend said no lol.

So you bought the clam that you've been telling me about huh??? I wanna see pics ASAP.

Just wondering, does your boyfriend pay for the clam or is it a 50/50 thing or all you? I would get both clams regardless. LOL Call me crazy if you will. ;)
 
I didn't get the clam I told you about. :( Actually he paid for this clam. And he wanted a couple more acros. And some zoos. I was going to pay for the other one but he said we need to wait to get the darker colored clam types untill we can really enjoy them when I get my clam tank lol. I took a bunch of pics. As soon as I get on the other comp and load them I will post them :)
 
Good things come to those who wait. At least your bf participates in this wonderful hobby.

I wish I could say the same about my gf. I ask here to go to the LFS with me sometimes and she says no. :( But when it comes time to add a new piece, she gets excited. She also like to watch the tank. Kinda weird I guess.
 
I actually used to be that way (the whole roll your eyes thing at going to the fish store) until I was doing some research and saw an orchid dottyback (pseudochromis fridmani). I had to have that fish. My boyfriend got one for me for my bday. He has kept a saltwater aquarium for years. Then he told me about clams. So I made him turn the freshwater aquarium into a reef tank and now I beg for clams lol.

I don't know which of us has spent more money on the reef tank. I would probably have a heart attack if I stopped and added it all up (he told me it would be expensive) I am a miser at heart lol.

Now all the LFS employees know me.
 
Must be a trait of some women. No pun intended.

This surely is a fun, yet expensive hobby. I don't want to add up my bills either. I think everyone starts out in this hobby with FW and then converts to SW. I surely did and am glad. I'm also one of the best customers at some of the LFS. I usually try to visit at least once a week. When I first started it was 3-4 times a week. LOL
