I'm an SPS guy, but by heart is still with my shrooms!! I'm planning something like that with a 38g I have....

What size tank is it? The 90g in your sig?

Yup, its a 90 that i have in my office. It keeps me sane. I needed something with very little maint.

I change the water twice a yr. add calc. & feed. It doesn't get any easier than this tank. Its hard to kill a shroom!

I love the color of SPS, but I like the movement of softies.


My home 200 gets 120 gal. change every 3 weeks.

Its nice when you find something that will grow well in your tank. This is a maintenence free tank. a little calcium, Ro water & food. Change the water a couple times a year & all measureable tests are perfect.

in my mushroom tank i under skim in a sixty five gal tnk use a skimmer that is rated for 40 gal shrooms love the dirty water and grow so fat and happy

Nice tank! I can't get my shrooms to grow at all in my sps reef, but I guess I don't really want them to grow and take over either. I think the water is too clean for them.

I believe its been up about 6 yrs to have that grow out of shrooms. Over the last 15 yrs it has been moved 3 times & I had to pretty much start over with glass growth of shrooms.
