Adult Chevron have variable colormorphs and can look like that in their transitional stage as well.. I noticed noone has an Achilles..


Oh BTW:

my 120 Tomini Tang.... He has tried to kill all new tangs so I won't try.

40 gal Lavendar tang

60 gal Purple tang, and Kole Tang (yellow-eye)

Clients 450 gal : 5 yellow 5 purple 1 Blue, Powder Blue, Mimic, Tomini, Sailfin, Black, Kole Tang(yellow-Eye)
All have been in there for 3 years or so except for the Timini which was added about 6 months ago

My guess was based on the blue eye. I have found no other bristle tooth tangs with the distinctive blue eye.

The tang in question does not have blue eyes, it was just a trick of light. So does that make it a chevron or a kole?

How much longer til the conversion to the big tank? Did you get the barrel up and running for storing water? I'm glad you like the reactor.

What colors are that tan? and has it changed colord since it's been in the tank?

Greg, the tang is black with fine white lines across it's body. It has not changed color since I've owned it, only gotten a little bit larger.

The 580g is pretty much finished, I'm just looking for somebody to help me upgrade my breaker box as it keeps tripping on me. It has a 15 amp right now and I'm thinking a 20 amp would be sufficient since it's 12 gage wire.

bennyinca, thanks for the info on the tang. After seeing that pic of the adult chevron I'm convinced that's what it is. Such a cool fish too as he doesn't bother my other fish. Wish I could say the same about my sailfin. He's the bully of the tank, always chasing my idol back and forth. I'm thinking about moving him over to the 580g and letting my other purple tang teach him a thing or two LOL.

About 4 years old. I've had her for a year and the previous owner had her for three I beleive.

I gave her away this weekend to a guy I found out about thru my LFS (Tat's). He has a 1100G tank in his shop in Ventura. 8' wide by 6' deep. I'm going to have to stop by and check out his setup. I also pointed him to this site as he didn't know about it. Of course I also invited him to join our local club as well.
