I have managed to keep only 1 tank at a time, not including sump, unless I'm in the process of an upgrade. For me, I'd rather focus on one so i'm not tied down with maintenance with the rest of my life being hectic. does make it hard to decide how to set up the one tank though. I have doubled my tank size a few times though, which keeps things interesting and allows a good chance to change things around.

My 180 is the only tank other than qt. Just dont have the time or energy to take care of another tank.

I have a few tanks

125g freshwater cichlid tank
75g "timeout" tank for mean cichlids that I'm about to convert into a saltwater tank
37g freshwater South American cichlid tank
13.5g nano reef tank

I've gone through multiple tanks. I wish I had taken people's advice in the very beginning and just go big and gotten 2 125g+ and have 1 fresh and 1 salt and called it a day..........instead of upgrading tanks and trading away tanks and ultimately spending more money haha
