please help, any and all information is highly appreciated in advance and kind, it is strictly sps. sincerely, ChaoticReefer4u:thumbsup:

Chaotic, I would suggest more unless you are pushing quite a large amount with a return pump from your sump. From my experience, my corals seems to like it more when there is more flow. I'm currently using 2 seio 1100's on my 38 gallon and a mag 5 on my return.

You are the only one who looks dirrectly at your tank .

What do your corals say ? If you have SPS which are getting minimal flow or none then you need more .

I have 100x-135x depending on the streams settings. But I won't tell you need that much . Its all about how its used and how your corals respond.

As much as your tank can handle. I have an 1100 and a 1500 in my tank. I also have panworld pushing 890 gph. That's all I have and I feel it is enough. My sps grow like weeds. If I do anymore, I get sand storms. Eventually I'll add more but right now my sps are happy. I also have more of an open tank so I think that helps too.

Man, that is a ton of flow. Was it barebottom? My sand shifts as it is now so I'm good for now. I also don't care for the look of powerheads and the Seio's are about as bulky as I want. Now if the new vortechs would come down in price, I'd pick up 2 of em.

I agree with jay24k on this one on my 90 I have 2 Seio 820s and a Blueline 55x for my return many people would probably say that is on the low end as I am running only maybe 30X turnover but I feel that I have good polyps extension good growth and good color. There is also someone in are reef club who was tank of the month January 2004 I want to say who is running a 120 and only has 3 MJ's on it as well as a blueline for a return and it is the best tank I have ever seen in person. Figure out whats works best for you I personally dont feel there is a difinitive answer

Do you want controllability or not?

Really they are the same price everywhere give or take 5 bucks . I can even get Tunze stuff local at online price because everyones price is basically the same.

just give me both estimates just in case, onewith control and one without............

no controllability just straight out flow all the time...thanx clockwork.

Personally I'd go with the biggest you can. They hold their value VERY well and you can adjust them. Eventually, the controller option is nice and you can have them be random which is cool. I'd like to upgrade to tunzes but just a bit too much as of now.

in my 180 i have two 6100's with the mulitcontroller,
in my 90 i have one 6000 with controller, a seio 1500, a modded maxijet on a timer.
i suggest getting the controllable tunzes, the action of the flow they create really gets polyps on sps extended. you might also look at a wavebox, with that shape tank it might work great and be all you need for flow.
