how much room and bio load for sweetlips?

Hello , I have had my aquarium up for 6 months now and I'm wanting a sweetlips and I'm looking to pair my falco hawkfish. I'm not sure the name of this sweetlips so I need you help to research it

about my tank .
55gal 48"x13" 60 lb live rock 40 lb sand
1 falco hawk fish
1 snowflake eel
1 chalk basslet.
1 fake perc clown.
Xenia and soft polyps
Nitrates steady at 20
If I remove the basslet and clown will I have enough room and bioload for the sweetlips and other hawkfish

the fish is a painted sweetlips,diagramma pictum. they get to a max size of 36 inches. i wouldnt bother getting it.

I agree. And the LFS selling it should not be selling it.

Even if it doesn't get 36" a 24" sweet lips will look silly and have a pretty poor life in your 55g...

Thank you for your replies. I guess that's a little to big of a fish for me then, lol. On a side note a friend of mine gave me a algea blenny. I noticed my hawk was bullying him so I put the hawk in a Lil terrarium cage in the main display and rearranged the rocks. How long should I keep him in jail? It's been about 3 hours now.

Keep him in jail for at least a day or two to let the blenny settle in, then try reintroducing the hawk. They may keep fighting, though.

That's because it's a juvenile, their pattern changes as they grow.
