How much snow do you have

Driving to work this morning was interesting to say the least... and I'm sure this afternoon will be the same. 4x4 is with its weight in gold....just have to remeber not to be to confident :) Good luck to everyone out there.

We are a little over a foot here in West Elmira. Time to take the kids out and play. Need to break in all the snow gear they got for Chirstmas that hasn't been used at all this winter. We are going to pay for those few days in January when it was 70 degrees here.

Right now I would say we are at the 2 feet to 2 1/2 feet level. Still snowing hard. Chenango County has declared a State of Emergency from 7pm to 6 am.

Still snowing in Fairport...I think I am pass two feet. I had a 100 yrd long 4ft drift down the middle of my driveway earlier. Not used to this. Normally we don't get snow like this.

Long time upstate NY residents will remember this is how every winter used to be.
It's really not too bad here right now- two feet of snow is nuthin'. I have yet to see any abandoned automobiles covered in drifting snow or dogs running up snow banks onto rooftops like I did when I was a kid.
Now... people in Oswego County have a story to tell for sure. 12 ft. of snow in just over 10 days is something else- I think they set a new record.

Jamie- do you miss living down south yet? :D

For sure Gary.I am 42 nd I was just telling the kids that we never get snow like we used to.It seems like the small storm we just got we used to get atleast one a month like that but maybe my memory is failing lol.

Weaver.. I was just out in Batavia (my friend owns Area51 Motocross Park) The wind out there is relentless!!! I hope you are not in the middle of a field where your house would be blown down!

No I am right in the city.Your right the wind can get nasty here I had to go to south of attica yesterday and the wind and drifting was not good.Scott

Heh, just wanna chime in here. I was in Pittsburgh over the week and they got a bunch of snow and freezing rain. However the means with which they clean it up (or rather the lack thereof) have lead me to swear that I'd never get angry at any NY snow removal efforts ever again. Thank God we have people plowing roads here that know what they're doing.

I live in Oswego County, Hannibal to be exact. I'm sitting in front of my favorite window and enjoying the beautiful white view I have. :) My window has snow halfway up it! I honestly can't tell you how much snow we have. I haven't seen anything like this in quite a long time.

Thank God I have neighbors with snowblowers! They have nicely been keeping our driveway clear for us. We gave them some Thin Mint cookies yesterday to say thank you. I would like to do a BBQ for them in the summer to say thank you as well.

WOW . . . the snow is still coming down!
