There's no exact answer to your question since it will depend somewhat on the particular organism. However, swings of 5+ degrees over the course of a day, or even very quickly, are quite common on a typical coral reef. Temperature wise, most of our inhabitants are far more resistent than they ever get credit for.
I'm going to start playing around with temp fluctuations, mand see just how far we can push things. My lttle shrimp goby tank took a 20 degree swing in a matter of hours, both seemed unphased. In short, don't worry unless your swings, unless they start getting start getting near 90 or below 75 and farv more extreme.
