How rare is this?

What is the latest on the Chinese tanker?
(Is there a URL to a news story that is updated frequently?)

Has a lynch mob formed yet?

I don't know about a lynch mob but there's planty being said. Personally I'm appalled that these freighters can run through the largest natural coral reef in the world minus a pilot! It looks like someone took a short cut to save money and of course we know the end result. :(

There are loads of updates .. have included some links from the main paper in Brisbane but there are plenty more if you follow 'related articles'.

Happy reading :hmm4:

Wow! Just found this awesome theard, simply amazing! Thanks for sharing.
All the pictures are incredible but the very first one with the two baby clowns is still the best.

So you can really just go out there and collect whatever you want for FREE you must be one of the luckiest people out there. Is it ilegal?

Really depends on what state you are in I believe. In the surrounding states to where Lewy is you definitely need a licence but Darwin is in a Territory and they have different laws than States. Very confusing legalities:confused:

Correct. Best to contact the local authorities to see what the local laws are.

As I have mentioned previously. It is ok for us as individuals to collect for private use.

You only require a licence to collect and sell commercially and these are pretty hard to aquire these days. Legally the people at home cannot even sell their guppies, angelfish which breed in their tanks or ponds.

Of course this will probably not last for much longer and they will eventually ban it.

But we will still go out and have a look anyway.

very impressive photos, i live in the uk and spend a lot of my time by the sea, exploring as the tide goes out. albeit not quiet as stunning as some of the things you have found but interesting in its own right. set up a small aqurium with things ive found. :)

We went out again last night. Camera battery was playing up so not many photos. :thumbdown

Always something unusual. So have saved the best for last. We found this turtle trapped in a rock pool waiting for the tide to come in.
