How rare is this?

I was just out that way for work today. Photos are taken at a 5.00m tide.

Wow!!! That's some extreme differences in the tide. One can see how things would get stranded by the low tide.

this thread makes me wanna go to Australia so much more.... i've wanted to go there for such a long time.... im so jealous

This is kinda sad but, my Wild Caught Latz Pair always swims over to side of the tank that is next to the monitor when I start looking at this thread.

When are you going out again?

Good timing Mordoff,

It is now 3:26am as I am typing this. We have just got back and I have just had a shower and winding down. So might as well download some pics update this thread.

NOTE: Any normal person would be collapsing on their pillow but no; not a reef enthusiast. He wants to post pics for all the other coral junkies!

We were only after a lawnmower blennie tonight and to take some pics for you all.

It was a full moon and was quite pleasant except for the biting midges and mosquitoes. But one we got away from the mangroves it was ok.

Our collector mate could not make it and told us to keep an eye out for small sharks.

Look what we found!! It is a small Wobegong shark.

This is a Jawfish only found in the Darwin region as well.

We call thses Tuskfish or Bluebones. They are nice eating when they are larger and have bluebones when you cook them. Must be the same family as parrotfish.
