How rare is this?

It looks as if they didnt even have a depht gauge on that ship. They continued to plow thru the reef even after the initial hit for nearly a mile it looks like.?????? Hang them after they pay a outregious fine or strap them down to an ant hill I hear you have some pretty big ant hills down there!!!!!!

now i know why i love australia even if i've never been there. There's just so much stuff in there that people really love like the warm weather, animals and the oceans & reef. can't believe you actually found that near a bridge. That's just amazing. i guess the water must be prestine clean for the creatures to be able to live there.

OMG!!!!! THAT IS SO F*** AWSOMEE!!! I WISH I LIVED THERE!!!!!!!!!! pleaseee more pics when u have time!!! Dammmnnnn!! Im speachless!! :D

Lewy- Do you ever go snorkeling in there when the water is up? Or is there too great of a chance of bumping into a box jellyfish or other nasty? Any sea snakes around that region?

I went through this whole thread, and I was absolutely amazed. Seeing this makes me want to pack my bags and drive down to the coast, although I know it will be nothing like what you encounter.

Mother nature is a wonderful woman.

I just went throught his whole thread and I am amazed by the findings you have and the opportunities all within your backyard. Keep up the posts.

This is one of the best threads I have seen since i joined.:bounce1:

I just found this thread and wanted to also say that I am totally jealous. And thanks a million for sharing pics with us. You are living the reefer's dream.

I read the whole thread in one sitting. I like your pics better than the other threads, because they have that "real life" quality. I like the fact that I have to look closely at the pictures to take in the whole experience and appreciate all there is to see.

i'm a scuba diver, so i see carpet anemones all the time. I plan to go to James Cook University in townsville, ever heard of it? If so, would you recomend it for marine biolagy?
