How rare is this?

Sick thread man, spent multiple days to read the whole thing.

As an avid scuba diver in S Florida, is there a reason you guys don't dive the reef when the tide is in? Keep up the great pics!

Very nice Fluoro fungia. We only found the two.

Woah, that fungia has the most insane PE I've ever seen! Awesome!

I'm having a hard time understanding how it says Dendros need water with essentially 0 nitrates when these guys are getting large in pools that get overrun with weeds regularly. Does the combination of denitrifying bacteria in the sand and the proliferation of macroalgae allow it to thrive here?

Congrats my friend!! You know...As long as i have been following this thread...I never stop to think about how horrible it must smell out there during low tide. If i pull out one acro my wife freaks!!

We went down after work today to collect some more baby prawns.

Not much around though.

Heaps of baby puffers around in the shallows and only just managed to net one. They are very very fast.

The harbour was also full of jellyfish.

This was a fairly large one.

They were like little cucumbers and very slippery.
