Very awesome thread!
Very illuminating seeing what corals look like in their natural habitats and the conditions they exist in.
Giving me a lot of new ideas of coral placement in my tank.

Another very early morning session.

Plan was to collect some LR to seed a new tank and to try and catch two blennies. Tick..

Also found this nice Wobbegong shark as well. Net is around 300mm long for reference.

Nice pics of that shark.

Were the blennies hard to catch? Did you just pick up the rock they swam into?

You could tell you were out early in the morning as it looks like it is dark in some of those pictures. I guess you have to be a little more careful when it is not as light out.

Not hard to catch. But extremely hard to find. Since they are territorial they are spread out and we can only find them at night time.

Plus they are well camouflaged and hard to see in amongst the rock and sand. Once spotted they are easy to catch.

Try 1am in the morning! By the time we get back home it is around 2:30 to 3am. But you do get moonlight visibility with these tides so late at night.

Haven't encountered a mud gecko yet so all good so far.

Just require decent LED hand and head mounted torches.
