How rare is this?

very cool.....i have a few aussie buddys from another hobby......and one thing that stuck me as strange, was that they never realy bothered going to the beach much or seemed real impressed (maybe more like interested) in the natural scene of things there....but then agian there were things about my little corner of the world I never gave a second thought too as well cause I see it every day :/....

I wanted there reefs, kangaroos, and koalas.........and they were more interested in coming here to deer hunt or see Rushmore or the Grand Canyon lol

Last low tides for 2011. So we ventured out to collect some LR.

Conditions were overcast so ideal weather for hauling a few buckets back to the car.

While we were waiting for the tide to run out. We had a bit of fun and caught a few mantis. We released them shortly after we started to collect the LR.

One last trip to a tidal pool just before the drive home netted some more of these Apogon's for the tank. I have a school of 10 of them now.

Another year is about to set on us. So wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
