I have an Aiptasia problem in my tank and although I try and keep it under control with Aiptasia X, I am going thru a bottle in alittle over a month. My LFS has tried to sell me a (sp) Kline Butterfly fish, which he says will take care of my problem and that it won't bother my zoas & polys. People in another forum I am in have told me this is not true the fish will mess with my zoas. They told me to get some Pepperment shrimp to take care of this problem but,my sorry LFS can't get any in ( they have been ordered for over a month for me). So even though I didn't want another fish in my tank, I don't want the Aiptasia more, so I bought the fish yesterday. Is it a sure thing this fish will mess with my zoas, friends tell me pretty much yes and wish me the best, the LFS man tell me no and that alot of people with coral in their tanks buy this fish for just this reason. Should I be giving this fish a chance or snatch him out of the tank and take him back to the LFS?

I'd recommend either heavy manual removal - by pulling the rock and scrubbing, or a tried and true predator of aiptasia - berghia nudibranch.
The butterflies are generally hit and miss, and most likely will pick at your polyps/LPS more than the aiptasia.

I had a Klein Butterfly several years ago and the fish cleaned up all the majano's and aptasia's, along with most of the brown button polyps in the tank.
I didn't have any nice zoanthids or palys in the tank, but I would be willing to bet it would eat them eventually.
I wouldn't take a chance with a fish like that in my tank.
