How to be dumb: 101

1. Decide you're going to do a water change
2. Set up the RODI to start making water
3. Come back an hour later to a puddle of water
4. Think it's a leak in the system, frantically looking everywhere to figure out what happened.
5. Nothing was loose, nothing went wrong, system 100% perfect and working (Thank you BRS)
6. What was it? ... Forgot to put the "rejection" line down the drain.

2 hours of cleaning later, laughed hysterically at my obvious absolutely dumb mistake. (Figured others would love to laugh at my mistake)

In before others suggest:
1. Make water ahead of time
2. Make it permanent instead of changing the faucet every time
3. Don't be dumb

Ha ha! Solid advice. Don't be dumb.

I can't tell you the number of times I've made blunders like this. Don't feel bad. On some level, we are all dumb for even getting involved in this hobby. Consider RC a support group versus a resource.

Stupid is, stupid does...

Unfortunately, I've overflowed my RODI container multiple times. The wife wasn't too happy, but she got over it.

Yeah I definitely did that a couple times, so I started putting the bucket in the sink expecting it to over flow...

But never would I have thought that I would have forgotten to put the waste line down the drain and just left it under the sink.

Every time I begin filling my buckets I set my iPhone timer for an hour and 15 minutes, filling the 5 gallon bucket with about 4 1/4 gallons. I have forgot to set the timer but it is rare.
