How to catch a reef lobster?

I have a purple and orange reef lobster and am pretty sure he's responsible for the demise of two of my anthias. How do I catch this guy? Please help. :(

How big is it? Will it come out for food?

You could try to make some sort of trap, or look online, and see if anyone sells a trap that might work. Otherwise my guess is your going to have to tear the tank apart. How much rock is in the tank?

Good luck!!!!

He comes out for food but he's really fast. Impossible to catch. I've got way too much rock to tear down the tank. I've heard of using a glass or jar with food in the bottom and tilting it at a 45 degree angle. That way the crab can't crawl out. Will this work with a lobster about 3.5 inches long?

rip a small peise of wemens nylonstocking 4inches and rap it arount what ever it likes to eat thredded on a stick it will get stuck

Have you tried the glass jar yet? I've never had to use it before so I really dont know how well it will work on a lobster.

I thought about that idea and decided it probably won't work since lobsters can swim. I'm gonna try using a wide mouthed 1 liter bottle. I'm going to cut the top off and invert it and try putting some bait in there. I'm pretty sure he'll have a fairly tought time getting out of there.
