I have a 90 gallon reef with my rock work in the middle like an island i have 2 6100.on a multicontroller soon to be an aquasurf I cant get it to stop blowwing my sand away in the corners .Any suggestions??Thanks Ryan
If you have tried different positions and angles. You may simply have to dial the pumps top speed back a bit. 2 6100s is alot of flow in a 90 and the currents created might simply never "slow" enough by the time it hits the sand bed after bounching off the glass or colliding with the opposite pump's flow
You could also try the suction housings off of a 6200 series pump which would somewhat widen the flow path a bit
Thanks I have the pumps turned aliitle so they blow more up than straight ahead and I have them turned all the way down .I will ask some of my local reefers and see if the have any of those suction things.
You could also trade someone who wants to upgrade, your 6100 transformers for 6000 transformers. The 6000 transformer will reduce your flow almost in half.
