How to get black os to host Haddoni carpet anemone

My guess is they won't but it could happen. I had a platinum pair that hosted in my red haddoni carpet but took six months for them to even look at it and only the male hosted in it. I think you got a 50 / 50 chance. Usually the large breeds of clownfish host in Haddoni's. Gigs are a little different and seem to be more inviting to most clownfish imo.

most people including myself with most likely tell you not to mix RBTA's or LTA with haddoni carpets. When I first got mine I asked around and that was the general answer I got. Haddoni's should not be in the same tank as gig's as well. Now I have one tank set up with three haddoni's bunch of rock aneomes, and mini maxi carpets with no issues for almost 1 1/2 years.

My buddy although has a tank with one large haddoni and two RBTA for a long time with no issues. His system is a 180 with sump and extra tanks connected to the system and he has no issues.

IMO, dont do it. Chemical warfare will happen likely.

How old are the black ocellaris? When I first got mine they wouldnt go into anything, not even a ritteri (or mag if you want to be more correct). I no longer have any nems, but now that the ocellaris are more mature, they have started hosting in a st. thomas mushroom. Its never a sure thing as to what a clown will decide to like, but the most common wild hosts are gigs and mags, but with captive clowns you still never know. If you are buying a nem, I would go with a gig or a mag (if you are confident that your tank will support them.) If you already have I would stick with what you have, and either way I would give the clowns a few months to mature and adapt to their prospective host.
