How to stop an encrusting montipora

Thisseemsfishy

Just another Reefer
I have a superman monti that is taking over. How can I stop it? I've brushed it pretty hard with a toothbrush, but within an hour all the polyps were back out. I can't frag it due to the spot where it is and the next coral. All ideas are welcomed.

Thanks

Some Kalk paste in a syringe from an old test kit.

Shut off all your flow.
Drop some kalk paste just on the area you want to slow down.
Let it sit on there for about ten minutes before you turn your pumps back on.
Be careful not to get it on things you don't want to kill back.
Blow off anything you get kalk paste on accidently, right away, with a turkey baster.

Feed any leftover paste to your aptasia.

You can also smear some Krazy glue, with your finger, over the spot you want to slow down.

The kalk paste will do the trick, but before you kill any back,

WHERE ARE THE PICS!!!???

The epoxy is better in my opinion, since it will inevitably grow back. When it does, chip off the epoxy (with new frag to sell or trade), and replace. The supperman monti is the most aggressive monti I have.... Also the most wanted from traders.

I'm having the same issue with both superman and rainbow monti. The rainbow monti might actually be the stronger of the two.

I'd post pics, but the piece of superman that got kalked is dead (We've all seen white, dead coral) :( . I would totally recommend using it. The only hard part is if its already growing on your other coral its a bit hard to control. I plan on trying putty on a small section to test, I'm sure that would work too.

Thanks to all for your help
