How to update Euroquatics A1/A1P

I believe one of the A1P I got somehow got set as a master. It would not synch with the other 4 lights so, I removed it. I got the 4 lights (2 - A1P and 2 - A1) synched and working. Then, since I didn’t have another A1P, I tried to add a spare A1. Now, I can’t connect to Euronet.

When trying to connect to Euronet on the laptop, I’m getting a message that says,
“Euronet
No Internet, Open”

If I try to log into Euronet I get a message that it failed.

Oh for Christ sakes. I tried to re-synch the lights, when I did they all went out but the master.

Now, I can login to Euronet but, my custom program disappeared again. What the hell? Do I have several bad light or am I just a bumbling idiot?

And, now the lights won’t synch again. There’s been a joke in my family about <insert my last name> luck is worse than bad luck.

  • The specific error message “No Internet, Open” is a common Windows or mobile device notification indicating that a device is connected to an unsecured Wi-Fi network (open) but cannot access the internet, often due to DNS issues, missing login portals (captive portals), or router configuration problems.
  • troubleshooting this modern issue typically involves resetting network settings, updating network drivers, releasing/renewing IP configurations, or checking for captive portal login pages

I’m very non-technical, so I don’t understand any of that. My understanding is the Euroquatics lights create their own network so, it has nothing to do with my internet. Based on that understanding, there’s an issue with the laptop connecting to the light?????

Maybe.
The answer to that is technical. These lights are running an old obsolete network protocol. It may need a little help to talk to a new device with the ethernet adapter configuration.

Just a thought but is there a way to make them all masters with their own (but the same) schedule? I know not convenient but that may be the best way?

If there is, I haven’t figured out a way to do that. I’m also not sure why connecting to Euronet is so hit or miss.

You need a nerdy friend that can do simple networking stuff.
I suspect your network adapter is dragging info from the last network you connected to with wifi when you connect to Euronet.
Have you changed the batteries in them? They need to be good for the lights to remember their settings like the time if the power flickers.

It’s weird be sure I had this constant disconnect from Euronet a while back. Then, no issue, now it’s happening again.

Yes, I changed the batteries in them.

This should technically work. Just like updating them, you would have to do them one at a time with all the others unplugged. Total pain if you want to change your spectrum or schedule later on though.

Still nothing linked. I haven’t tried to connect to Euronet today yet.

But, here’s a couple interesting things:

One of the fixtures over the 40 was running dim. I tried replacing it with two spares and same thing, both running really dim. I tried factory reset and one was still dim and the other would not light up after the fan kicked on.

The second thing is, I dug out a manual and here’s what it says for factory reset:
1. Hold button during boot
2. LED - Flash rapid (fading)
3. Success - Slow blink LED 5s (assume this means the indicator LED?)
4. Fail - Rapid blink LED 5s

I don’t recall any of my lights doing steps 2, 3 or 4 after the reboot, weird. Is this maybe because they’re not synched?

I’ve also found some references on various forums (in the past) that talk about the fixture being stuck in rescue mode. But, an internet search doesn’t turn up more detail on what this is or how to fix it. Anyone know what this is all about?
